Livicole (World of Warcraft)

The character is actually an original design by artist Jianing Hu. I found the design while browsing Pinterest one day and immediately knew I wanted to make it! I had been wanting to do a World of Warcraft cosplay for a while, but wanted to do something a bit different, and this was perfect.

The costume is made mostly of worbla – the pauldrons, bracers, hip guards and breast plate. The skirt and side flaps were hand sewn and I used craft foam and gold spandex to create the “embroidered” designs. Then A LOT of feathers and fake leaves were glued to everything! LEDs were also used in the pauldrons and front of the skirt, but it was difficult to see during the day time. One of the hardest parts of the costume was the body paint haha, it took me about 4 hours to get painted and into the costume the day of the con.

Cosplay has given me so many opportunities has made me travel more, has made me more confident and helped me to open up to others. It’s also made me a lot more broke haha! It’s really just been an all around life changing experience and I’m so thankful for it.
