Hopie (CIndy Lou Who) : How the Grinch Stole Christmas is one of my favorite movies of all time, I can't even count how many times I've seen it. I think it started as a joke, then we really started thinking about it and decided to just go for it.

Hee-Hee (The Grinch) : To add, I've subconsciously accumulated somewhat of a Jim Carrey cosplay portfolio: I've done Ace Ventura, the Riddler (as well as Edward Nygma), and Jim's design of Scrooge from A Christmas Carol-- WHAT WAS ONE MORE?!

Hopie: How was the cosplay created is always a hard question to ask considering how many different pieces there are to these cosplays. My favorite parts of my Cindy Lou are the wig, and the false teeth which I made from Friendly Plastic!

Hee-Hee: A lot of research went into this costume. For example, I read an article that stated Jim's suit was hand-punched with yak hair... So I had to look up where to get it, how to dye it green, how to work with it and attach it-- but it was a very enjoyable experience! I love learning new things! I also made my first cowl for this costume, brought out the ol' padded stomach again, and I got to make delightfully disgusting teeth with Friendly Plastic and acrylic nails!

Hopie: We had a blast debuting these costumes and decided to enter them in the cosplay contest...where we then won Best in Show!

Hee-Hee: Whenever there's an element of humor or fun in our costume choices, it's hard not to have a great time and, very thankfully, the good times are usually contagious!

Hopie: So many people got a kick out of the costumes, and that's all we can ask for! It's always fun watching kids' reactions to our wacky characters.

Hee-Hee: In particular, children REALLY enjoyed posing for pictures after, instead of encouraging them to smile for their parents with the cameras, we got to make DISGUSTING faces together! Attempting to ruin photos has never been more in-character. Sorry, Deadpool.
